I know a lot of people had trouble getting to the last two games due to the timing of the games, so a quick recap.......
On Sunday the JV traveled to Devine Rink in Dorchester to play Stoughton. The first time the teams played, Stoughton came away with a 2-1 win. Stoughton is a very good host team, paying for two referees with 3 periods of skating. It is very much appreciated. Stoughton has a large number of players, and in our more recent game we were without a few players due to scheduled vacations so some players were forced to play different positions than they were used to. Despite these challenges CH skated to an impressive 1-1 tie. In Goal Emily did another great job. Playing defense were Emily D and Lizzy, along with Callie and Jenna who both volunteered to come help the team. CH skated 8 forwards: Alyssa, Erin, Kailey, Kate, Sarah, Grace, Mia, and Emily L. The lone CH goal was scored by Callie. At the end of regulation Erin had a breakaway, but was denied only by the horn sounding. She assured me that she was putting it in if there had been two more seconds on the clock. Final Score 1-1
On Monday the JV played Scituate at Pilgrim in Hingham. This game saw the return of the full complement of JV players, and the team was able to use three full lines of forwards and three full lines of defense. In goal Emily played another solid game. Playing forward for the first time this season was Shea alongside Meredith and Taylor. Shea scored a very nice goal using her backhand going top shelf for a 1-0 lead in the first period. Also playing forward: Emily L, Lucy, Grace, Kate, Sarah B, and Alyssa. On defense we had Emily D, Sarah T, Lizzy, Madison, Mia, Kailey, and Elizabeth. Scoring what turned out to be the game winning goal was Sarah T with a shot from the point. Scituate scored and Alyssa gave us an insurance goal. Final Score 3-1 CH
JV season record 4-2-1
